What will you find?

See the classic sights of Barcelona in the morning, then after lunch explore the city's artistic side. You'll see the best of Barcelona, old and new, in one day! Even better, you'll enjoy a 10% discount when you buy the morning and afternoon tours in this way.

Barcelona Sightseeing Tour (Morning):
Stroll through Plaza de Catalunya, with its many fountains and statues, then take a wander along the narrow medieval streets of the Gothic Quarter. You will see many buildings dating from the 15th century, including the Barcelona Cathedral, as you continue to Plaza Sant Jaume where the important government buildings are located, including the Palace of Generalitat and the Town Hall.

Continue to the Montjuic Mountain for a panoramic view of the city and harbor. Tour the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, the Palau Sant Jordi and the Calatrava Tower, and taste Catalan Cava, the renowned local sparkling wine, at the Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village).

Next, get on a cable-car (included) and take in aerial views of the Barcelona skyline, on the ride down to Montjuic Castle.

Artistic Barcelona Tour (Afternoon):
After lunch (own expense), take an artistic journey through Barcelona, starting at Paseo de Gracia to see Gaudi's famous apartment buildings including Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. Then enjoy a 30-minute visit at Gaudi's bizarre Park Guell, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The afternoon tour continues to the La Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) Cathedral, Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece and Barcelona's most famous landmark.

You'll also visit Barcelona's Monumental Bull Ring and the famous Cathedral Sta Maria del Mar, the only completed Gothic church in Catalonia. The tour ends near the Picasso Museum, which exhibits works from the blue and pink periods of the world-famous painter.

Note: the tour does not include entrance tickets. This is an exterior visit only.

Please note: this tour itinerary is changing from April 1, 2014. Main changes are that the photo stops at Barcelona's Monumental Bull Ring, Cathedral Sta Maria del Mar and Picasso Museum will be substituted with a walk along Passeig de Gràcia, to see Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. Please check back for a fully revised description at the end of March, 2014.

  1. I always like to take a city tour like thsi to give you an overview of a city. It helps me decide what areas I want to return to spend more time and also I get to see places I may not normally have time to see. Well this tour did not disappoint. It is actually two tours in one when the upgrade is added. The first half is the Gothic Quarter and Montjuic. Ana was our guide for this part. Like a good Mother Goose she made sure that her flock was well tended to. She was highly informative and took some really nice photos of us. After a break for lunch we returned for the second half of the tour. This was lead by Julio. The group was much larger for this part but he kept us all together and did not lose any of us. This part focused on the more modern mainly the Born distict and the Gaudi architecture. The visit to Park Guell was fascinating if also a bit cold. All in all it was a fun day!
  2. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR MY FAMILY AND ME. EVERYTHING WAS EXPLAIN IN DETAIL SO WE WELL UNDERSTOOD THE HISTORY OF BARCELONA. THE PLACES THAT WE HAVE VISITED WITH THIS TOUR WERE REALLY GREAT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR TO EVERYONE WHO VISIT BARCELONA.
  3. A little slow starting, both morning and afternoon, but we soon forgot that as the guides were both informative and pleasant. The sites chosen were excellent and well described. We were pleased to receive not only the expected information, but additional facts that made the trip more interesting. In addition, the lunch recommendations were excellent. I would recommend such a trip to anyone not having alot of time to see the sights of the city.
  4. GREAT GUIDE AND CLEAN BUS. GOT AN OVEREVIEW OF THE CITY AND WENT BACK TO SEE THINGS WE WANTED TO VIEW IN DETAIL.
  5. I quite enjoyed this tour. It's a great way to see a lot of Barcelona in one day. But be aware that you will NOT be granted access inside Sagrada Familia, which was probably my biggest disappointment (and I ended up booking a separate tour to do that). Also, you won't get much time to spend in Park Guell, which was my other disappointment. But if you're only in town for a few days, it is an absolute MUST DO tour. And if you're there for several days, it's a great way to taste test the city and see which sites you want to return to for additional exploration.
