What will you find?

Montserrat Royal Basilica Half-Day Trip (Morning):
After driving through picturesque little villages you will arrive at the craggy mountain of Montserrat and the Royal Basilica. Montserrat has been one of Spain's most important pilgrimage sites for hundreds of years, due to the famous 12th-century Romanesque carving of the Virgen Moroneta, the Black Virgin. At 1pm on weekdays there is the opportunity to hear one of Europe's oldest children's choirs, La Escolania de Montserrat. On your way back to Barcelona you will make a stop at the harbor, before continuing to the terminal to commence the Artistic Barcelona City Tour.

Artistic Barcelona City Tour (Afternoon):
Your cultural tour of Barcelona begins along Paseo de Gracia to see Gaudi's famous apartment buildings, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. You'll then enjoy a 30-minute visit at Gaudi's bizarre Parc Guell, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then it's on to Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) Cathedral, Barcelona's most famous landmark. You will have around 30 minutes to explore this notable structure from outside.

You will also visit Barcelona's Monumental Bull Ring and the famous Cathedral Sta Maria del Mar, the only complete Gothic church in Catalonia. The tour ends near the Picasso Museum which exhibits works from the world-famous painter's delightful blue and pink periods (ticket not included).

Reviews & Ratings

  1. Montserrat was beautiful really worth going there to see the church and the natural beauty of the mountains. The Barcelona Gaudi tour was also excellent we were able to spend time in Park Guell and the guide was great her knowledge and personality added a great touch to the tour.
  2. Long tiring day, but the only way to see Barcelona and Montserrat in one day. Knowledgeable guide. Spent plenty of time at Montserrat and saw several Gaudi works. I would recommend it, but be prepared to be exhausted by the end of the day. Moderate activity that anyone in reasonable condition can handle.
  3. We loved your guides. Barcelona is the most interesting and beautiful city we have ever visited. We rate it over Paris and Rome.
  4. Great Tour comprehensive explanation of the history of Monserrat and links related to the origin of Catalunya and his independence the mountains and surroundings were beautiful and the Tour guide lady did a real great job in incorporating her explanations in 3 languages Superb tour Real pleased Bja
  5. We had Carlos as our guide to Montserrat. He was very knowledgeable about Montserrat and managed a full bus load of passengers. For the Barcelona Gaudi tour, Carolina gave a very good overview of the works by Gaudi throughout Barcelona - a good beginner's trip for Gaudi newbies.
